IT-Support

You may consult us if you have any problems with use of the computer centre’s services.

Access data to the HFT Stuttgart computer network

If you still have no access data to the HFT Stuttgart computer network (e-mail, Moodle, WLAN / VPN, online functions, PC rooms, NetStorage), then you can obtain it:

  • As a student, in one of the introductory events during the regular lecture times or the orientation week
  • As an alternate, course changer or visiting student, you can pick up your account directly from the computer centre’s IT-Support (room 2/016) as soon as you have your student ID. Instead of student ID, visiting students need to present a certificate of their visiting status
  • As professor, from the IT officer of your faculty
  • As a visiting lecturer, from Mrs. Grund (michaela.grund@hft-stuttgart.de)in Administration, normally by post.

If you have already received your access data but your account has been blocked, it is enough to send us an e-mail or make a quick call. Please note that, for privacy reasons, no passwords will be disclosed by e-mail or telephone. We trust you appreciate that, should you require a new password, you must present yourself personally with identification / student ID.

If your e-mail account works but you have problems with the online functions (examinations, grade overview, certificate of enrolment etc.), then please contact Mr. Stark (gabriel.stark@hft-stuttgart.de) in Administration.

Before you contact us, we recommend checking the server status on the Services page. It can happen that the problem is not due to your account, but due to our servers instead. In this case, please wait until the service is available again (green) and then contact us only if the problems with your account continue.

You can also come to us about

  • Activation of a student ID for building access (only for replacement student IDs due, for example, to theft or lost). Student IDs of 1st-year students (bachelor and master) will be automatically activated at the beginning of the semester.
  • Difficulties using the WLAN or establishing a VPN connection. Please first read the guides on the FAQ pages and the pointers on the download page. We expect you to have tried every option available to you before asking for our assistance. In other words: We like to help, but will not support laziness.
