Project description The project aims to optimise the performance of decentralised, biomass-fired cogeneration plants. For this purpose a mathematical model for simulation-based optimisation of control strategies of biomass-fired plants will be developed. Additionally, an innovative combustion air management system will be developed and tested within the project. This combined approach will enable a systematic way of dealing with multivariable interacting processes, multiple conflicting objectives and constrains involved in the biomass combustion process
