Project description The project is divided into a theoretical and a practical phase. The first phase focuses on the refinement of models of individual components such as heat generators, consumers and pipe networks. Those models will then be coupled together and integrated into a dynamic simulation. The development of hydraulic and thermodynamic models will be accompanied by the design of a calculation tool that makes it possible to take economic and ecological factors into account as secondary model functions. The low-temperature heat grid in Sonnenberg (Ludwigsburg) and a number of other innovative grid concepts featuring local feed-in points will be simulated and optimized. A test environment for local feed-in points will be set up at the institute during the practical phase. Simulation results will be used as a basis for the optimization of the operation of the Ludwigsburg heat grid. A full-system simulation will then be designed and implemented.
