Project description The aim of this joint project is to develop optimized heat exchange processes for cooling systems powered by solar thermal energy at the lower end of the performance range. Emphasis will be placed on heat exchange arrays based on the use of outside air with an output of up to 100 kW. The optimized systems are to achieve a minimum electrical COP of 10. The insights gained during the project are required within the framework of the development of generic system management strategies, the analysis and development of optimized heat transfer structures and specific applications in three different heat exchange scenarios.
