Project description Digitalization, the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 and Smart Building all have one thing in common: they are all based on the increased use of sensors, digital evaluation, information retrieval and process control, supported by new, often IP-based bus systems that enable better networking and vertical data integration in companies. However, there is a lack of open assistance systems that enable people to use this sensory data and integrate it into their daily work. Augmented Reality (AR), including location- and context-related sensory data, offers an approach to include people at different levels in the working world 4.0. Developments in these areas have been taking place for some time, mainly at the instigation of large companies. The aim of SensAR is to provide small and medium-sized enterprises with low-threshold access to the new AR technology field and thus to support their international competitiveness. For this reason, both for technical components such as sensors and for software, common products are used that are as open as possible and demonstrators are developed on the basis of open interfaces and architectures. Furthermore, the approach is deliberately chosen in such a way that it can be based on generalizable processes. The aim of SensAR is to process user stories, which - without having to penetrate the specific production processes - occur in many companies and achieve relief through automated recording and digitized assistance systems. Within the project, therefore, the questions will be dealt with with regard to concrete user stories, which will be further defined with the involvement of industrial partners during the runtime.
