At the Centre for Sustainable Urban Development, all research activities of urban and regional planning, urban development and urban renewal are combined. The spectrum of research projects ranges from specific urban development projects to district development to fundamental problems of territorial development.
Cross-sectional topics such as the interlinking of urban development and education policy, urban consolidation, district management, climate justice or energy efficiency are dealt with on the basis of an interdisciplinary planning understanding. The research projects are linked with the teaching modules and scientific works in the bachelor and master programmes of architecture, urban planning and infrastructure management at HFT Stuttgart.
