| Project description |
In the project HyCity, methods for city inventory taking
from hyperspectral and LIDAR data are being developed. For this
purpose an airborne hyperspectral scanner is used to perform
high-resolution, spacial scans in the near infrared spectrum as
well as in the visible electromagnetic spectrum. This project
starts with the simultaneous recording of hyperspectral and
LIDAR data, integrates the two different data sets into a
three-dimensional, spacial data file and processes the spectral
data necessary for the determination of the surface reflection
values based on the surface shape that was recorded by LIDAR.
To take inventory of the geodata that describes existing
state-owned property, automatic methods are to be developed
that make use of the great interpretation potential of spacial
and spectral data used for geodata collection. This new method
enables the extensive and detailed spacial collection of
required geodata it a short period of time, as is required in
practice today. |
