The goal of this project is to support and push the
introduction of building products and systems into the market
that contain PCMs (Phase Change Materials). PCM systems can be
used for passive room cooling as well as to reduce heating and
cooling peak loads. The systems will be installed in showcase
buildings and monitored under normal operating conditions.
Aside from product development, the focus of this research
project is primarily on the demonstration aspect. The goal is
to support the market introduction of PCM systems by building a
equally-equipped showcase buildings. These buildings will be
made accessible to those of the interested public and included
in publications that serve effectively as advertisements
(Internet, professional journals, conferences, etc.). |
