Project description The goal of this project is to apply the liquid sorption process using ionic liquids in order to develop ecological, hygienic, sustainable cooling methods and dehumidification processes that use safe materials which at the same time allow the use of components that are compatible with standard, conventional ventilation and cooling technology components. Ionic liquids are to be defined and developed and materials are to be tested for their application with sorption components. In addition, a prototype of an absorption unit is to be constructed, tested and optimized. Simulation calculations will be performed and optimized system settings for the dehumidification and air conditioning applications will be developed.
