| Project description | The project is being carried out in cooperation between the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, the City of Munich and the Department of Public Services in Munich. The goal is to design the new housing development Munich-Freiham to be energy-efficient and to thereby stimulate the large neighboring housing area Neuaubing to follow suit. In particular, a district heating concept based on a geothermal energy plant is to be linked to the city planning concepts. Hereby, the social, economic and artistic aspects are to be balanced with energy efficiency in order to establish the idea of “energy-equitable city development” as a new approach. |
