Application for international exchange students


Exchange students from HFT partner universities usually can be enrolled for a maximum of two semesters. Prerequisite is a nomination by your home university. In addition, you need basic knowledge of German and/or participate in our German language course program for exchange students.
If you study at a university that is not a partner university of the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, you have the opportunity to apply with the status Freemover".

Steps to a successful application:

1. Nomination by the partner university to incoming@hft-stuttgart.de
- until 15th April for the following winter semester
- until 15th October for the following summer semester
Nominated students will receive further information concerning application, language course and accommodation by email.

2. Application of the student
- until 1st May for the following winter semester
- until 1st November for the following summer semester

- Student Application Form (see right column for download)
- Transcript of Records from the home university
- for ERASMUS students: Learning Agreement (see right column for download)
- for Architecture and Interior Architectural Design: Portfolio
- for Business Administration: Motivation letter
- for General Management: Motivation letter and Bachelor certificate
