    Short Description Master's Programme  <<

    This three semester, internationally-oriented course of study is designed to meet the demands of industry for highly motivated, team-oriented software experts. Students learn and apply state-of-the-art technology and standards in the fields of software development, information management, computer networks, and electronic commerce. All classes are given in English.

    Programme Structure <<

    The first and second semester covers advanced theories, methods and techniques in the fileld of software development, data mangement, project management and computer networking. Amongst others this comprises the lectures "Advanced Topics in Software Engineering", "System Design", "Advanced Topics in Databases", "Middleware Technology" and "Advanced Topcis in Software Project Management". An elective module each semester allows deepening the knowledge in formal methods (e.g. "Cryptographic Algorithms") and in newest technological issues (e.g. "Business Process Technology"). A large software-project - spanning the whole 2nd semester - gives practical foundation to the theories and methods above The Master thesis in the 3rd semester is usually done in industry and focuses on the aplication of scientific methods in real-life environment.

    Master-Thesis
    The thesis is usually written in cooperation with local companies. The thesis comprisis analysis, design, implementation and test of certain software components, this subject is related to the modules taught in the course.

    Requirements <<

    Applicants for the Master's Programme must possess a university degree with grades significantly above average
    either in computer science requiring at least 3 years of university study or equivalent knowledge degree with knowledge in

    Accreditation <<

    The international master's program "Software Technology", introduced in 2000, was accredited in 2004 by ASIIN for five years. At the moment Re-accreditation takes place.
