Description

The Laboratory for Geodetic Data Processing provides an optimal environment for the development, the usage and the test of geodetic programme systems. It was established for research, lectures, exercises, student-projects, trainings and workshops and is installed in two rooms.

In the first room over 20 workstations are available with the following software (excerpt):

  • Visual Studio (Visual Basic .NET, Visual C++)
  • Eclipse for Java und Python
  • GIS (ArcGIS 10.x, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS)
  • Geodetic software for tachymeter- level, gnss- and scanner-data processing (Faro Scene, Leica Cyclone, Leica Infinity, Trimble Business Center, Trimble Real Works)
  • Adjustment software (JAG3D, NEPTAN)
  • CAD-Programme (GEOgraf, AutoCAD)
  • Office- and database applications (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Project, MS-Access, MySQL)

With virtualisation an easy change between english and german system and language versions of software packages can be realised. For this special keyboards are in use. To provide the laboratory work some (digital) field books, printers, plotters and a DIN A3 Scanner are available

The second room is used for theses, projects and research in the field of geodetic data processing. Five workstation are available and can configured individually as necessary and can be used for WEB-services.
