Description

The Laboratory for Geodetic Data Processing provides an optimal environment for the development, the usage and the test of geodetic programme systems. It was established for research, lectures, exercises, student-projects, trainings and workshops and is installed in two rooms.

In the first room over 14 workstations are available with the following software (excerpt):

  • Visual Studio (Visual Basic .NET, Visual C++)
  • CAD-programmes (GEOgraf, AutoCAD, Stratis)
  • GIS (GeoMedia, ArcGIS)
  • Geodetic software for tachymeter- level, gnss- and scanner-data processing (GEOSamos, Leica Geo Office, Cyclone)
  • Adjustment software (NEPTAN, Panda)
  • Office- and database applications (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Project, MS-Access, MySQL)

To provide the laboratory work some (digital) field books, printers, plotters and a DIN A3 Scanner is available

The second room is used for theses, projects and research in the field of geodetic data processing. Five workstation are available and can configured individually as necessary and can be used for WEB-services.

Since November 2002 the Laboratory for Geodetic Data Processing is part of the Registered Research Lab (RRL) programme of Intergraph. It is also in use for workshops and education seminars.
