Sports at the HFT Stuttgart |
Students as well as members of the HFT Stuttgart can
take an active part in several sport squads. Especially in
team-sports, like football (soccer) or volley ball, active
participation is always welcome. In these sports there are
regularly recurring tournaments, some of them
statewide.

Yoga classes (all levels)
Practising yoga postures, breathing exercises and meditation makes you healthier. You learn to tune in, chill out, shape up - all at the same time.
Yoga helps manage or control anxiety, arthritis, asthma, back pain, blood pressure, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic fatigue, depression, diabetes, epilepsy, headaches, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, stress and other conditions and diseases. What's more, yoga:
- improves muscle tone, flexibility, strength and stamina
- reduces stress and tension
- helps to boost self esteem
- improves concentration and creativity
- encourages circulation
- stimulates the immune system
- creates a sense of well-being and calm.
Students as well as members of the HFT Stuttgart can take an active part in this class.
Location: AOK-Building, Breitscheidstr. 18, Yoga & Gym room
(5 min. walk from HFT, U-Bahn Liederhalle, mats are provided)
Course Fee: free for AOK-members or EUR 5.- per week (2 evenings) for non-members

The Institute of Sports at the Stuttgart
University at Stuttgart- Vaihingen offers a plurality of
fitness sports to participate in. More detailed information
you'll get from the AStA (room 1/011) or at the admissions

Each year in winter together with the
befriended University of Applied Science Esslingen a special
skiing- event takes place at Jungholz, called the
"Bauschullauf". It's a skiing-event for cross-country-skiing
as well as giant-slalom.
