Ethics

Ethics is a certificate that attests that you have completed at least 200 hours of ethics-related study.

Ethics is a component of the Ethics Promotion Programme of the universities of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg. In the scope of this promotion programme, ethics is understood as:

  • Lore of the good and successful life
  • Revision of rules of action
  • Theory of morality

Why study Ethics?

  • Learning about and reflecting on ethical topics allows you to align your later professional actions with ethical aspects.
  • You can use it to demonstrate to future employers your dedication to go beyond the requirements of your studies. That is a plus point for you when you are being compared with other applicants.
  • You increase your skills of perception and communication, improve your social skills and acquire key qualifications for your professional life.
  • You contribute towards reinforcing moral conduct in society.
