Applying for bachelor programmes

All bachelor programmes delivered by HFT Stuttgart participate in the allocation procedure operated by the Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung (SfH, Trust for Admission to Higher Education, also referred to as If you wish to apply for a place on a bachelor programme at HFT Stuttgart, please submit your application via the application portal.

Information on the procedure for programmes where the number of applicants is greater than the number of places on offer is available on the SfH website.

The website provides you with a wealth of information on registration and applications, as well as FAQs, videos and much more besides. Please only begin your application once you have gained a comprehensive understanding of what the application process involves.

How do I submit an application for a place on a programme at HFT Stuttgart?

  • If you wish to enrol in the 1st semester of one of our bachelor programmes you will first need to register with the application portal. Please note that multiple registrations are not permissible.
  • Once you have registered and logged into the portal, click the menu item "Studienangebot" and enter "Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart" and the programme for which you wish to apply in the corresponding search fields.


  • Once you have submitted your application via the portal, please print the resultant application form and submit it to HFT Stuttgart along with paper copies of all supporting documents. Please note that your application will only be considered if HFT Stuttgart receives the signed form and all supporting documents by the specified deadline. This also applies if you have already uploaded a certificate confirming your university entrance qualification to the application portal. A copy of the certificate must be posted to HFT Stuttgart for assessment! The date of receipt (and not the date of dispatch) is definitive.   • Your application is now eligible for consideration. You can check the status of all your applications to and offers from HFT Stuttgart in your account on the application portal. It may take a long time for all your applications to be processed. You will be notified of any changes to your status. If you have applied to enrol later than the 1st semester you will receive all further information directly from HFT Stuttgart.


  • If you are offered a place you can accept it online. You will then receive confirmation of your acceptance onto the programme and the deadline for enrolment. Please note that you can only accept one offer. Acceptance of an offer will result in the withdrawal of any other applications you have submitted. Places which become available as a result will automatically be offered to applicants on the corresponding waiting lists. You will be notified if none of your applications have been accepted.
